Ensuring Editorial Excellence

The CIEP Code of Practice is designed to provide confidence in your editorial professional. When you’re looking for an editor, the Code sets out the minimum standards of service that you should expect to receive.

I’m a Professional Member of the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading (CIEP). As such, I’m committed to their Code of Practice. The Code aims to establish and maintain best practices for editors, proofreaders and project managers. It covers subjects such as

  • Client and supplier working relationships
  • Effective communication
  • Confidentiality and security
  • Professional standards of editing, proofreading and project management
  • Continuing professional development

If you’d like more information about the standards that you can expect from your editorial professional, then you can see the full code here. If you’d like to see feedback on my services from previous clients, you can see some of their testimonials here.
